Tips for moderating blogs
[Approve for Publication] saves any changes (same as [Save Record]) and approves a blog or comment for display on the website. Blog moderation is required before a blog entry is displayed on the site.
[Reject for Publication] saves any changes (same as [Save Record]) and then disables display of the record. Blog moderation is required before a blog entry is displayed or rejected on the site.
[List Pending] This command will list all blogs which are pending publication. If the system has been configured for email alerts, the moderator will recieve an email alert when a blog or comment has been posted or edited.
The Content field contains all the text which will be displayed on the article page.
The CSCAltSummary field is the summary which is displayed on the headline page. This field is automatically populated with a specified number of lines (as defined by blogSummarySize); this population is an approximation. You can edit this field to fine tune the summary.
To assist in moderating, the system will find and flag some unacceptable content such as profanity. The system will also automatically strip out any dangerous HTML or Script which may have been entered by the user.
More information on using blogs can be found on this page.
