Java / Native Hybrid Technology, an N-Tier Internet / Intranet Technology, can be used for:
- Database Information Systems
- Order Entry Systems
- Sales Automation Tools
- E-Commerce
- B2B Systems
CPrompt is a leader in Intranet Information Systems for
intra-business and B2B applications. We have created systems for large
enterprises and small businesses alike. We can create a powerful system for your company
without breaking your budget by leveraging pre-existing systems that we have developed.Contact

Some of the best Intranet systems are based on
Java Clients talking through Native Servers to Native server-side
applications. This is a powerful N-Tier Client/Server architecture. This architecture will grow
to dominate the client/server systems of the future. Systems built by CPrompt using this
architecture have been deployed at MCI, GTE,
and many smaller companies for both Intranet and Internet
systems.
This Java / Native hybrid architecture combines the benefits of portability with the
speed of native applications pushing behind it. This architecture works on intranets and
the Internet. The client front ends can run on Windows, OS/2, Unix, Mac
anything
with a Java enabled browser or Java Virtual Machine (JVM) installed on it.
Java / Native Hybrid architecture uses the best that Java and C++ have to offer. Java is
at its best creating effective, platform-independent User Interfaces and front ends, while C++ Native
coding provides unparalleled performance and capabilities.
In 1995, CPrompt's founder, Kevin Bohacz, developed the idea of hybrid - Java / Native
systems. CPrompt's original e-commerce system, SendSafe
JSOF, was the result.
In 1996, Bohacz developed and deployed one the first Java / Native hybrid Intranet systems in the
telecommunications industry. This system was engineered for MCI Telecom. The system used Java Clients talking to custom native
Servers (written in C++) running on NT Server. This Java / Native hybrid was a real boon for
MCI, since they ran several different platforms including OS/2 and Windows NT workstations.
The hybrid system has become a crucial business system for MCI, where it provides an
important portion of the information and transactions that comprise the engineering of
their global communications network.
In 1999, Bohacz developed a next-generation
Java / Native hybrid Intranet Information System for GTE. This
system, called C/SIRS, projects GTE's existing Information System across their global
Intranet.
Since 2000, many more Java / Native hybrid projects have followed for CPrompt.
Hybrid mixes of Java and Native languages like C++ have come into common usage in the industry.
