We use a rating system to decide the order in which tasks will be performed. Unless one task has dependencies with
another task of different priority, the following classifications for order of precedence will be used.
It is the responsibility of the client to
communicate their wishes to CPrompt if they want a task performed at a lower or higher priority than we might normally assign.
- Fatal: Business transactions for which the site was designed cannot take place and/or the sales effectiviness of the site is seriously measurably impacted.
- Intrusive: Business transactions for which the site was designed can take place but:
- A visitor can see the effects of the problem caused by underlying coding
- The business back-end is functioning in a manner other than originally designed and is detrimental to day-to-day business.
- Product merchandising is failing in such a way that products cannot be displayed or found.
- Non-intrusive: Business transactions run to completion. Site visitors are unaware of the problem or absent functionality. The problem, e-configuration, or absent functionality meets one or more of the following criteria:
- Does not visibly detract from the site's User Interface (UI)
- A workarounds exists
- DB search or data results may not be ideal for product merchandising but do not prevent the product from being purchased.
- Cosmetic: an item which has no measurable deleterious affect on site operation or the site's ability in fulfilling its design goals. Cosmetic is further divided into the following subcategories:
4.1 Any of the following which lead to product fulfillment problems: content is displayed which is incorrect, a misleading User Interface (UI) element, or e-configuration error.
4.2 Any of the following which does not lead to product fulfillment problems: content is displayed which is incorrect, a UI element refinement is needed, or a requested e-configuration change.
4.3 A content change which refines an existing message, new UI element which enhances use, or new functionality which enhances existing operation.
4.4 A content change which enhances appearance and does not have any direct impact on a message.
